With hand-painted art from Joe Vollan, the Green Room seats up to 8 guests comfortably and is certain to stun at your next game night. We are excited for you to be able to visit Mox Boarding House again. Tables will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, and we can add you to our waitlist if all tables are already full.
Mox Bellevue
Mox Boarding House is a dining experience offering fine foods and drinks with a boardgame store filled with all your favorites and many waiting to be discovered. The Reading Room will transport you away to an adventurer’s study from long ago. The dark, wood-lined shelves are filled with artifacts obtained during their travels. In the center of the room is a magnificent table inlaid with over 4000 pennies.

Featuring full service from the restaurant, each of our private rooms are ideal locations for your next event. Each room offers a unique setting to dine and play, with custom décor and one-of-a-kind ambience. We’ve got Friday Night Magic, Paint Jams, Board Game Nights, and Role-Playing Games Nights. Art-Deco aesthetics and house-made meals await you at Mox Bellevue, open 7 days a week.
Mox Portland Private Rooms
Its 16-foot floor-to-ceiling bookshelves and leather-bound books are nothing to balk at. It seats 10 guests comfortably and comes with a 70” HDTV for AV use. Mox Boarding House is a place to gather and share with friends, new and old. We are a one-of-a-kind board game café experience, a place for the gaming community to grow, and we invite you to join us in our beautifully designed, custom decorated stores near you.
Beyond a smattering of hills, you can see the charred remains of a society you remember shiny and new. Through the bare foundations creep a collection of mutated critter's whose origins you can only guess, attacking whoever and whatever crosses their paths. Beneath the overgrown soil, vault-dwelling communities fight to survive on limited resources. It is across these abandoned spaces you must now travel, building a new life atop the crushed glory of a destroyed world. Yes, however, we are limiting the number of guests who visit to be able to space people accordingly.
We are excited to announce that Mox Boarding House will reopen its doors to welcome the community back in this Friday (June 12). We will be open 7 days a week from 11am to 10pm on weekdays and 10am to 10pm on weekends. Keep reading to see what we are able to offer with the current conditions in place.

When visiting simply be conscious as you move around the space to avoid close contact with other guests. If you are looking for a more private or extended visit, consider booking one of our private rooms. These rooms are fully serviced by our restaurant staff who will take your food and beverage orders.
PRIVATE ROOMS AT MOX
If you are interested in selling a collection to us you can do this by making an appointment, simply send an email to and they will get you set up. Note that drop-offs for collections would go through Mox Seattle only. With regards to picking up singles orders, we are excited to announce that this is back up and running again. There are only a couple of limitations, Mox Portland is slowly building up it’s inventory, this should dramatically fill up in the next couple of weeks.
They are still limited to a maximum of 5 guests in Bellevue and Seattle and 10 guests in Portland. Please give us a call if you need help making a booking or have any questions. Yes, the restaurant will be open on the same schedule as the store, though with some restrictions, we will only be able to seat at 25% capacity. Check out the delicious food we are offering (Mox Bellevue/Mox Seattle). The Clover Room can be combined with the Rose Room for $80/hour (peak time) or $60/hour (off-peak time) to seat up to 20 guests.
We cannot take reservations but feel free to give us a call before visiting to see how busy we are. Additionally, we cannot accommodate groups of more than 5 guests in Seattle/Bellevue and 10 guests in Portland to be seated together at a time. We will also be serving a reduced and modified menu until we are able to fully reopen. Curbside pick up for food will also still be an option at Mox Seattle and Mox Bellevue. For Mox Portland you’ll smile call ahead and we will prepare everything for you, you’ll just need to come inside to pay for and pick up your items.
We’ve also got private, themed rooms you can rent for your next party or event with full service from our bar and restaurant. Mox Seattle boasts a cozy apothecary atmosphere with house-made food and an extensive free-to-borrow game library. From shareables to entrees, there’s something to fit everyone’s fancy. Enjoy local craft beers from one of our 12 taps, win, or locally roasted coffee and Italian sodas.
